When will my eyeglasses be ready?
We process your glasses on site, and, in some cases, we can have your lenses done in about an hour. In some cases we may have to order your lenses which only takes up to 2-3 business days. If your lenses have an AR coating, we send your finished lenses out to our partnering lab. This process takes about 2-3 business days. We will notify you as soon as your glasses are ready for pickup.

 

Do I have to pick up my glasses in person?
We prefer that you make time to pick up your glasses in person, so that proper adjustments can be made.  Plus, it’s always nice to see a satisfied customer in person.  However, we understand that it is hard to make more time in the day to do certain things.  We are able to UPS your finished eyewear to your home or office for $10.00.  We will do our best to adjust your eyewear at the time of purchase.  Adjustments are always free of charge, so please don’t hesitate to come in after receiving them in the mail.

 

Does the Optical Outlet accept insurance for eye wear?

Insurances have become an integral part of purchasing eyewear.  Unfortunately, insurance companies are cutting down on the dollar amount they are willing to spend.  Our prices are designed to alleviate the hassle of using your insurance for the purchase of eyewear.  Instead, we are knowledgeable in every aspect of insurance reimbursements.  In most cases, your out of pocket costs for eyewear will be less if you make a direct purchase with us.  We have acquired most of the out-of-network insurance forms.  When you visit us, we will be able to fill out the form before you leave, accompanied with the corporate receipt, to submit your claim.         

 

 

How do I get my prescription?

 If you were recently seen at another facility, you may either bring in a copy of the prescription, or have it faxed or emailed (info@theopticaloutlet.net) to us.  If you are wearing a prescription that you are comfortable with, we are able to duplicate that prescription as well.

 

I don’t think I like the frame I chose.  Can I exchange my eyeglasses?

We will do our best to right every situation.  If you’re not in love with your eye wear selection, we will gladly replace your eye wear for another pair at the same price.   If you want to change lens type or option, we will accommodate those requests.  

 

I can’t see out of my eyeglasses.  What do I do?
Sometimes we need to make a minor adjustment.  Sometimes there are defects in the lenses.  Sometimes there is a mechanical error.  Sometimes there is human error.  We are pros at problem solving.  We will never tell you to “just get used to it” without an explanation.  Even doctors make mistakes.  In some cases we will exhaust all of our expertise, and ask you to return to your optometrist/ophthalmologist for a recheck.  We will gladly make any prescription changes (within a reasonable time frame) at no charge.
